freeyou is a spin-off of the insurance group DEVK and consists of a team of young creative and technology enthusiasts. With sum.cumo, a Sapiens company, as their experienced partner, they wanted to design insurance in a simple, digital and user-centric way. In close cooperation with the freeyou team, sum.cumo is relaunching their website, an online bicycle insurance. The use of IoT, data-based analysis and an agile way of working will be of great help. The team consisting of freeyou and sum.cumo needed only five months for conception and development. The bicycle insurance, which is based on our core system SCIP (sum.cumo Insurance Platform), is the first product of a new insurance platform from freeyou to be launched.
The relaunch of the bike insurance makes it possible for the end customer to take out a high-quality product based on excellent usability even faster and easier. Thanks to paperless administration, transparent communication and in combination with small, smart additional tools, the insurance is one of the most attractive offers for bike owners on the market.
In addition to providing comprehensive consulting services, sum.cumo’s task is to revise the user-friendliness and visual design of the online platform. On this basis, a new front end is being developed that communicates with the SCIP back end via powerful APIs. sum.cumo is accompanying the relaunch as a 360-degree tech partner.
The sum.cumo Insurance Platform is now used by insurers and underwriters in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It enables a high degree of automation in the back office, supports modern front-ends and is consistently based on Internet technologies and architecture models. Internal data on customers, contracts, products, claims or sales partners are available in real time. It is also possible to integrate external data sources into the system as required.
Directly connected to the online bicycle insurance is the freeyou online car insurance – of course also with a team of freeyou and sum.cumo.
