A word about the location. I love visiting New York City. And the location of the NAIC Meeting was great — from a tourist point of view. It was near Times Square, the Theatre District and Central Park. However, there should be other considerations besides location. This is not the first time the NAIC has held a meeting at this particular location and I am surprised they keep returning. The meeting rooms are small or very oddly shaped making it hard to see (at least for the meetings I attend). Meeting room sound systems are terrible. There is no regular restaurant in the hotel for those of us that have to stay in and work during the Meeting (two bars, but they don’t serve food), and, very importantly, the women’s restroom facilities are woefully inadequate.
